 SOUR SERVICE STEELS
H2S Resistance and Reliability

The evolution of drilling programs has driven the industry to develop more suitable solutions for extreme conditions such as Sour Service environment. Because minimal concentrations of H2S result in partial pressures are considered hostile for steel grades and hazardous for human beings, adapted drill pipe are necessary.

The renowned V&M Sour Service proprietary grades are the results of years of Research and Development to achieve material evolution optimization and critical manufacturing parameters control.

Matching industry standards define in the NACE MR 0175-2004, VAM Drilling current offer is split into 3 levels of resistance to Sour Service environment. The level SS is fully compliant with the IRP 1.8 requirements.
